THE TIME IS NOW

THE TIME IS NOW

Let’s face it, there is never a good time for chaos, conflict, and crisis to enter our homes. Are we ever really prepared enough for the demands it puts on our time, energy, and resources? The same is true about learning. There will never be a time when you are bored and wondering what you should do to fill your time. NOW is the time to jump on board, get equipped, and be encouraged for the journey ahead. Invest in yourself, as you only get one chance at parenting. Your children need you to be in your game and fully alive.

SHE NEEDS CONNECTION

“It’s been a crazier kind of day. I didn’t play with my daughter 1:1 for very long before I had to get to an apt. After I returned, my son needed my full attention. Then my husband came home for lunch, and I was finally able to leave to pick up my car from the shop. So much happened, and I didn’t realize that my daughter was upset with me when I got home – and trying to get my attention. But I could see it was nap time, and physically she was beyond tired. I gave her a verbal heads up that nap time was happening, and she had a full-blown toddler tantrum for the first time ever. She’s had many, but never running into the room screaming NOO so gutturally. It was so loud and all of a sudden I was shocked! It could have sounded like defiance. But I heard so clearly, she needs more connection. And even though she resisted for a good 5 mins, I got her back, calmed, and apologized. I was able to play with her before she went to sleep, reassuring her I’d be here when she woke up and that we’d play together. She went from screaming “NO, MOMMA GO!” when I tried to get ready for the nap to sound asleep as I left her room. I could feel how easily I could have missed her needs cause it was a busy day. To encourage you mamas in the thick of tantrums. Just sitting here so thankful for Holy Spirit, your mentoring, Lisa, and our babies that help teach us and make us better.”

I RELEASE REST OVER YOU

Testimony from mom in class: “Ok, this is really awesome and timely because AGAIN, I have been having some trouble with my daughter taking naps, and I got to the point of frustration where I just had to leave the room for about 10 minutes. I got so tired that I finally texted my friend to ask for prayer for it — she said, ‘I release rest over you,’ and no more than 10 minutes later, she calmed down, and she was nursing and then fell asleep! AWESOME! Thank You, Lord. I needed to hear this because I have a tendency to be timid in my prayers, but like you said, ‘Your kingdom come your will be done **on earth as it is in heaven**’ So yes, Jesus came to give LIFE, and we have the authority to ask for that (John 10:10)! I love that. I need to take authority over anxiety and anger!”

HEALING HUGS

My friend shared: “Our oldest was having a hard time tonight. Overtired, over being quarantined, whatever the reason, he was really struggling. My husband swooped in and gave him a hug that lasted probably 5 minutes. And all was well in the world again. As parents, knowing when a timeout or other discipline is needed is a skill. Or when it’s time for a long, wordless, healing hug, I’m thankful to witness my husband parent our kids this way – and I’m grateful that the Father of heaven also parents us with such kindness.”

WHEN LOVE TANKS ARE FULL

A mom in class shared:Let me encourage all of you, even with young ones. My boys are 3, 5, and 7, and we have spent the month of July focusing on love languages as a result of Lisa’s JOURNEY parenting class. We made a calendar and rotated through the languages in order, then picked different ways to show it every time in the month. We have been talking about it and naming it when it happens naturally and working on how to show it. The peace in our home and the connection among my boys have been like never before. It is such a joy and blessing to watch them connect and work together from full live tanks and a place of life!!!”

BEING THE LIGHT

A mom shared: “When I think about how empowering learning to partner with the Holy Spirit in my parenting is, it blows my mind. For example, a mom was dropping her daughter off at my son’s preschool class one morning, and her daughter was throwing a full-blown fit. It ended with the mom leaving her writhing daughter in the teacher’s arms. As I talked with the mom on the way out to our cars after drop-off, I could sense she felt powerless as she spoke. She didn’t know what to do, what was wrong with her daughter, why she was crying, etc. If she knew that her daughter had a heart splinter, an empty love tank, was believing a lie – any of these things – she could have moved towards her daughter rather than away from her, but she had no idea and ended up leaving in such uncertainty. I released peace over her as we went to our cars.”

CHANGING YOUR FAMILY’S LEGACY

This subject is my heartbeat and life story. It is the area of greatest heartbreak and pain and yet my greatest area of redemption and joy. God asked me years ago to gather a group of moms and teach them the revelations God has given to me to unlock the family cycles and align my family with HIS. The fruit was so significant that their friends came to me asking me to teach them, too. Years later, month after month, I am still walking parents through the journey of unlocking their own families. I am not selling you a product. I am inviting you to invest in your family so that your children do not need to experience what you experienced. I am giving you tools to learn how to connect to your child’s heart. I am empowering you that you truly are enough for the job of raising the next generation. I am equipping you to set your grandchildren up for greater success. Together we are changing your family’s legacy!

GOD’S WAY WORKS

A mom walking through our JOURNEY class shared: “I have to tell you, I’ve been seeing positive changes and more peace in our home. The last three days, particularly in our homeschool, have been GREAT!! I have an even greater hope today that we will continue seeing more fruit in our family from remembering and practicing intimacy with Father God. Actually, I’m excited to co-parent with Holy Spirit!”

FOR MY GRANDCHILDREN

I have said for years, “Parents, do the heart work so that your children don’t have to clean up the mess.” This mom is willing to do the hard work for the benefit of her grandchildren. Breathtaking.

“Jesus’ flashlight (tool) was a breakthrough moment for us. The concept of heart splinters helped my children to see what was going on. Their delight in knowing Jesus wants to take it out so they could be healed was tangible and beautiful. I do feel like it is quite the growth curve for me based on the parenting that was passed on to me, but I am committed to doing the work. I envision what their lives as adults will look like as we address these things in childhood, and should they become parents themselves someday, the jump start they will have to navigate this with their children.”

I WASN’T LISTENING

I love, love, love when moms write to me with their excitement over partnering with Holy Spirit in their parenting.

A mom shares: “I want to thank you for all of your posts about letting the Holy Spirit guide you in parenting. My son was having a serious meltdown this morning because of a change in plans for the weekend. As he was screaming at me, I thought I needed to pray and listen to what he was really trying to say. I asked him again what he was really upset about, and he told me, ‘Their dogs.’ He was afraid to stay at his cousin’s house because of their dogs. But I wasn’t listening. I was just trying to make plans and move on. I have yet to take any of your classes, but the Lord is using you through your posts to work on my heart and how I parent. Thank you.”
